Dr. Michelle Vitulli

FOUNDER & OWNER

Dr. Michelle Vitulli is a 1991 graduate of Cornell University, College of Veterinary Medicine.  She is the founder of Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Inc which opened its first location in 1997. She opened her 9th and newest location in Aventura, Florida in 2017.

Dr. Vitulli's interests are in cardiology, internal medicine, and preventive care for senior pets.  She is invited to speak at many of the veterinary colleges about general practice for dogs and cats.  Dr. Vitulli and her husband have three children, a dog named Harley, and three cats named Dewey, Little Bear, and Aslan.

Caring Hands Animal Hospital boasts an open, clean, and welcoming environment. There are windows into virtually every part of the facility.

Dr. Cristina Bustamante

ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN

Dr. Bustamante was born and raised in Cartagena, Colombia. She moved to the United States to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian.

She received her undergraduate degree in Animal Biology from the University of California, Davis and is a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Her current professional interests include care of senior pets, dermatology and internal medicine. In her free time she enjoys going to the beach, practicing yoga and playing with her rescued chihuahua mix, Fiona.

Dr. B is excited to now call Aventura home!

Dr. Ashley Caprio

ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN

Dr. Caprio, an associate veterinarian, is a graduate of the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She also attended Clemson University in South Carolina where she earned a degree in Animal Science.

She started her veterinary career as an associate with Caring Hands in Alexandria, Virginia and is very excited to be back in sunny Florida with the Aventura team.

Dr. Caprio is passionate about client education and preventative medicine. Her interests include surgery, dentistry, ultrasonography, and rehabilitation. In her spare time, you may find her tap dancing, rock climbing, or cheering on the Tampa Bay Lightning and Clemson Tigers. She currently lives in Sunny Isles with her labrador, Loki.

We understand you have a hectic life balancing home and work. We strive to be there when you need us. With long hours, early admit appointments, and late pick up appointments, we can accommodate even the busiest schedules.

Follow Up Phone Calls

It is important that we ensure that your pet are doing well after visiting with us. We will take the time to call the day after an appointment or surgery to see how everyone is doing and make sure that all of your questions and concerns were addressed.

24/7 Access to Records

Your pet has his/her own pet portal available where you can access their records 24/7. Whether you need vaccines for that grooming appointment, need to request an appointment, or want to upload that adorable photo you just took, just log in and connect with us!

Open Door Policy

We have an Open Door Policy in all of our hospitals. This philosophy is physically evident in the way our floor plans are open and have plenty of windows.
